Konkan Railway Corporation Limited (KRCL) is a state-owned company under the Ministry of Railways, Government of India. Established in 1990, KRCL is responsible for building, operating, and maintaining the Konkan Railway, a critical rail corridor running along India's western coast from Maharashtra through Goa to Karnataka. Known for its challenging engineering achievements—including long tunnels, high bridges, and complex terrain—the corporation significantly enhances regional connectivity and contributes to freight and passenger rail transport development.
