Uttar Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation (UPMRCL) is a joint venture company of the Government of India and the Government of Uttar Pradesh, responsible for the implementation, operation, and maintenance of metro rail projects in the state, including Lucknow Metro and Kanpur Metro. Established in 2013 as UP Metro Rail Corporation Ltd., it coordinates planning, construction, and service delivery to enhance urban public transit infrastructure and mobility.
