The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) is a key ministry under the Government of India responsible for the maintenance of internal security, border management, center-state relations, disaster management, and the administration of Union Territories. It oversees organizations like the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), Intelligence Bureau (IB), and National Investigation Agency (NIA). MHA formulates policies related to law and order, citizenship, immigration, and national integration.
