DoS

The Department of Space (DoS) is a central government department under the Prime Minister's Office responsible for the planning, formulation, and implementation of space policy, training, and providing space services in India. Established in 1972, it oversees organizations such as the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC), and Liquid Propulsion Systems Centre (LPSC). DoS is tasked with satellite development, space exploration, launch vehicle missions, and satellite-based applications in fields like communication, remote sensing, navigation, and scientific research.
