IASc

The Indian Academy of Sciences (IASc), founded in 1934 by Nobel Laureate Sir C. V. Raman, is an autonomous scientific institution headquartered in Bengaluru, Karnataka. Its primary mission is to promote the advancement of science in India through research, publications, science education, and policy advocacy. IASc publishes several peer-reviewed scientific journals, organizes conferences and symposia, and runs programs to encourage young scientists and students in research. The Academy works closely with other scientific bodies in India and abroad, contributing significantly to knowledge dissemination, scientific communication, and nurturing of talent in the sciences.
