Qualifications for PSPCL Assistant Lineman Recruitment 2026
- Matriculation or equivalent.
- ITI in Electrician Trade or ITI in Wireman Trade.
- ITI Certificate as issued by NCVT or SCVT. Candidates must have passed ITI in Electrician Trade or Wireman trade upto the last date of submission/registration of online application.
- Matriculation-level proficiency in Punjabi.
Age Limit as per Punjab Government Notification
Dated 24.05.2010, Punjab Government Notification G.S.R.20/Const./Art.309/Amd.(10)/2010 underlines that the age limit for ITI govt job is at least 18 years and maximum 37 years as of 01/01/2026. Age relaxations apply as per the instructions of the Punjab Government. Relaxation in upper age limit is as follows: 1. SC & Backward Class: 5 years over and above the maximum recruitment age. 2. Ex-Servicemen (Self): Allowed to deduct the period of his service in the Armed Forces of Union from his actual age. The candidate shall be deemed to satisfy the condition if the resultant age does not exceed the maximum age limit prescribed for direct appointment to such a vacancy in the concerned Service Rules by more than three years. 3. Physically Handicapped: 10 years over and above the normal maximum recruitment age. 4. Upper age limit shall be 40 years for: Widow, women who ae legally separated from their husbands or have been divorced, women whose husbands have been ordered by Civil or Criminal Courts to pay maintenance to them, women who have been living separately from their husbands for more than two years because of their desertion, women whose husbands have re-married, and wives of serving military personnel & wives of those who are disabled while in military service. 5. Serving Employees of PSPCL/PSTCL/Punjab Government: Relaxation is to the extent of service rendered in PSPCL or erstwhile PSEB/PSTCL/Punjab Govt.

Important Notes for Examination Scheme
- Candidates must secure at least 50% marks in Part 1 to qualify for the final merit list. Minimum qualifying marks in Part 2 are 25% for general category candidates and 20% for reserve category candidates.
- Part 2 will be in English and Punjabi, except Punjab language which will only be in Punjabi.
- There is no negative marking, and 1 mark will be rewarded for every correct answer.
- The tentative syllabus for the ITI Govt job 3 hour examination will be uploaded on the official website.
- The relative merit of candidates will be decided by their age in case two or more candidates secure same marks. Candidates with higher age will be placed higher on the merit list.
- Marks will be normalized if examination is being held in multiple shifts.
Online Application Process
- 1Register for online application through the "Recruitment" section on the official website, that is www.pspcl.in. Click on "Recruitment for the post of Assistant Lineman against CRA 318/26," and follow the instructions.

- 6Pay the fees online through Internet Banking, Debit Card, Credit Card, or any other choice of available payment method. Take a print of the the payment receipt which will be generated subject to realization of the payment.
