Introduction to IOCL Apprentice Recruitment 2026
The Indian Oil Corporation (IOCL) has officially announced 1524 vacancies across four refineries under the IOCL Apprentice Recruitment 2026. Interested candidates with a B.Com., B.A., B.Sc., Diploma, ITI, or 12th pass can now apply online from June 29 to July 28 (05:00 PM), 2026. The 1524 vacancies are divided into four refinery units: Bongaigaon Refinery: 144 seats, Gujarat Refinery: 647 seats, Paradip Refinery: 582 seats, and Mathura Refinery: 151 seats. Candidates aged between 18 and 24 as of June 30, 2026, can apply online before the last date, July 28, 2026. There will be no written test, so selection will be purely merit-based. Details About Selection Process Stages
Merit List Preparatin
Candidates will be ranked in descending order based on the percentage of marks for the prescribed qualification.
Tie-Breaking Stage
In case of a tie in percentage, the candidate older in age will be considered first. If the date of birth is also the same, then the percentage in the Matriculation will be the deciding factor.
Shortlisting Criteria for Document Verification
Candidates will be shortlisted based on merit and available seats. The tentative date of publication of the shortlisted candidates' list is Aug 05, 2026.
Document Verification
Shortlisted candidates must appear for document verification with original documents on the tentative schedule from Aug 11 to 18, 2026.
Pre-Engagement Medical Examination
Candidates are required to pass a medical fitness test prescribed under the Apprentice Act. Only medically fit candidates are eligible to proceed.
Engagement Offer
Candidates whose documents are verified and who are medically fit will receive an offer letter.
