The Airports Authority of India (AAI) is a statutory body under the Ministry of Civil Aviation, established in 1995 by merging the International Airports Authority of India and the National Airports Authority. It is responsible for creating, upgrading, maintaining, and managing civil aviation infrastructure in India. AAI oversees the operations of domestic and international airports across the country, provides Air Traffic Management (ATM) services, and ensures the safety and efficiency of air navigation. Headquartered in New Delhi, AAI plays a key role in enhancing air connectivity and supporting the growth of the aviation sector in India.
