UPPSC Recruitment 2026 Introduction
The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) officially released the UPPSC PCS 2026 notification (Advt. No. A-1/E-1/2026) on 25 June 2026, inviting applications for the Combined State / Uppar Subordinate Services (General / Special Recruitment) Examination 2026. Around 500 vacancies are available across Group A and Group B gazetted posts spanning 65+ services—from Deputy Collector and DSP to Block Development Officer, Commercial Tax Officer, Naib Tehsildar, and dozens more. Applications open on 25 June 2026 and close on 27 July 2026. The Prelims date is tentatively set for 6 December 2026 as per the UPPSC annual calendar. This is the UPPCS cycle's biggest jump in vacancies in recent memory. The 2024 cycle had just 220 posts, 2025 had around 200, and this year UP has nearly doubled that count to 500. For the more than six lakh aspirants who take this exam every year, that shift matters enormously. A higher vacancy count directly lowers the competition ratio, bringing the cutoff down a few notches—an advantage worth planning around.
