Rajasthan Staff Selection Board (RSSB) has officially started the online application process for the highly awaited Senior and Basic Computer Instructor Combined Direct Recruitment 2026. The mega recruitment drive is to fill up a total of 3,951 vacancies in Rajasthan Secondary Education and Sanskrit Education Departments. It is a great career opportunity for engineering/IT/computer science graduates who want a stable, well-paid government job of computer anudeshak in their core technical field. Rajasthan Senior and Basic Computer Instructor vacancies 2026 recruitment is for two different posts– Basic Computer Instructor (Pay Matrix Level-8) and Senior Computer Instructor (Pay Matrix Level-10). Last Date to Apply: The last date to apply is 23rd June 2026. The application process will be online on the Rajasthan Single Sign-On (SSO) portal from 25th May 2026. Exam Mode: Offline (Objective Type Multiple Choice Questions) Structure: The test consists of 2 papers (Paper I for General Abilities/Rajasthan GK and Paper II for Pedagogy, Mental Ability, and Technical Computer Science subjects). Negative Marking: Deduction of 1/3 mark for every incorrect answer.

Paper I: General Ability & Rajasthan GK This paper tests your administrative and local state awareness. The syllabus is completely identical for both basic and senior profiles. - Rajasthan Core: Geography, History, Art, Culture, Architecture, Traditions, Festivals, and Famous Heritage sites of Rajasthan. - Current Affairs: Major state-level developments, government welfare schemes, and significant national socio-economic events. - General Science: Basic everyday scientific concepts and spatial awareness. - Logical Reasoning & Mental Ability: Coding-decoding, analytical puzzles, direction sense, and syllogisms. - Basic Numeracy & DI (Class 10th Level): Percentages, ratios, profit & loss, averages, time & work, alongside data charts, graphs, and tables.

1) Instead of studying randomly, divide your daily preparation time (ideally 6–8 hours) using this structured ratio: - 50% Core Technical Theory: Dedicate this block to conceptual understanding of Paper II subjects. - 30% Active Practice: Solve a minimum of 50–60 MCQs daily. Practice code outputs and SQL syntax with a timer. - 20% Rajasthan GK & Reasoning: Keep this daily slot consistent to steadily absorb the massive local geography, history, and culture syllabus without burning out. 2) Paper I Strategy: Scoring Beyond the Cutoff The general aptitude section is highly structured and predictable. You can secure high marks by focusing heavily on three areas: - Reasoning and Basic Numeracy (Class 10th Level) are highly scoring. Practice Data Interpretation charts and core topics like Percentages, Profit & Loss, and Ratios. Doing well here easily secures your baseline qualification. - Targeted Rajasthan GK: Do not try to memorize massive history books line-by-line right away. Focus first on Geography (rivers, climate, soil, minerals) and Art & Culture (fairs, festivals, folk deities, fort architecture). These sub-sections yield direct, high-probability questions. - Current Affairs: Focus heavily on the latest economic reviews, state budget allocations, and flagship welfare schemes launched by the Rajasthan government. Paper II Strategy: Technical Domain Mastery Avoid trying to master deep software development packages all at once. The exam evaluates broad, fundamental engineering conceptual clarity.

- With 1/3 negative marking, blind guessing will completely destroy your scorecard. If you are not 100% sure you can eliminate at least two answers, skip this question. - Don't be so obsessed with complex programming languages that you completely ignore Paper I. If you score 90% in technical but go down in General GK to 38% then your application gets disqualified. - Don't wait to test yourself until you've finished 100% of the syllabus. Unlike the older recruitments where you used to upload any passport size photo, RSSB has now added strict biometric safeguards through the One Time Registration (OTR) system: 1) The Application photograph must be clicked Live from your webcam/mobile device while you are in the process of filling up the form. 2) Your face should be clearly visible, covering at least 50% of the entire photo frame. 3) Have a background that is all white or very light in colour, have your eyes wide open and are not wearing hats, caps or tinted glasses / sunglasses. 4) The photo is live but your signature and left-thumb impression are still uploaded manually (JPEG format, 280 x 80 to 560 x 160 pixel, sizing tightly restricted in between 20 - 50 KB).

The finalised post probation salary matrix ranges are very attractive (Level-8 and Level-10) but Rajasthan state government regulations stipulate a strict 2 year probation period upon selection. - During this initial period of two years, the candidates shall be paid a fixed monthly stipend (remuneration) without any allowances such as Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA) or special bonus. - Regular pay matrix increments, normal deductions & allowances will be applicable natively only post successful confirmation of your probation.
