NLC Apprentice Vacancy Trend and Analysis 2026

NLc's 2025 apprentice cycle at Barsingsar also totally has 163 training slots, so the headline number has not changed year on year, but the mix underneath it has. Graduate (Engineering) slots have grown from 28 in 2025 to 31 this year, and the ITI/Trade stipend has jumped noticeably, from Rs. 10,019 per month in 2025 to Rs. 12,000 in 2026, a rise of roughly 20%. The diploma, Graduate Non-Engineering, and overall category structure otherwise stayed the same across both years. Within this year's list, Electrical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering are the largest single disciplines outside the ITI trades, each carrying 15 diploma slots, while Electrical alone accounts for nearly a third of all ITI/Trade slots (30 of 86). Half of the ITI/Trade slots in each trade are specifically reserved for candidates who graduated from Rajiv Gandhi ITI, Barsingsar, rather than being open to all ITI-qualified candidates from Rajasthan.
