Northern Coalfields Limited (NCL), a flagship subsidiary of Coal India Limited, has officially announced its massive Apprentice jobs Recruitment drive for the 2026-27 term. This comprehensive training programme spans multiple streams, providing a unique opportunity for graduate diploma, ITI and paramedical apprentice candidates to gain valuable hands-on experience in the mining sector. Operating across the resource-rich Singrauli region bordering Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh, NCL aims to bridge the gap between academic learning and industrial skill demands through this one-year engagement of Engineering Jobs. To qualify for these coveted positions, candidates must be between 18 and 26 years old on June 1, 2026 and must have completed their technical education no earlier than June 2022. The localised education criteria are a basic structural requirement of the recruitment. The candidates must be Indian nationals AND qualified in the qualifying exam from institutes functioning in the state of Madhya Pradesh or Uttar Pradesh to be eligible to apply. The chosen apprentice will receive stipends ranging from Rs 9,600 to Rs 13,700 on a monthly basis, based on the discipline, and it is a great stepping stone to core engineering and technical careers.

Regional and educational location criteria for Paramedical apprentice: This is the most crucial filtering rule for this drive. Only Indian Nationals who have completed their requisite qualification from an educational institution or university located in Madhya Pradesh (MP) or Uttar Pradesh (UP) are eligible to apply. The campus must be recognised by bodies such as AICT, UGC, BTE, NCVT, or SCVT. Age limit (As of June 1, 2026) - Minimum age: 18 years - Maximum Age: 26 years - Candidates must be born between June 1, 2000 and June 1, 2008.

NCL will calculate a merit solely on its own by looking only at the percentage of marks that you have in your application. The filtering criteria will be based on the specific stream of apprenticeship: - Graduate & Diploma Apprentices Shortlisting will be done on the basis of aggregate percentage of marks scored in all the semesters/years of your qualifying B.E./B.Tech degree or Diploma course. - Trade Apprentices (ITI): The merit list is prepared on the basis of average of your Matriculation (10th standard) marks and your ITI Trade Certificate marks. - Paramedical Apprentices: Short listing is done on the basis of total marks obtained in the qualifying B.Sc, General Nursing or technical Paramedical Diploma course. - Tie-Breaker Rule: In the case of a tie in the percentage of marks, preference will be given to the candidate who is older in age (based on the date of birth mentioned in the 10th standard certificate).

No Job Guarantee: This engagement is for one year only for vocational training. Northern Coalfields Limited is not under obligation to provide regular employment or permanent absorption to trainees after completion of the apprenticeship year as per Section 22(1) of the Apprentices Act, 1961. Stipend Payment: The monthly stipend will be transferred to the bank account of the apprentice through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT). Bank account should be linked to the candidate’s own Aadhar number. Travel and Stay Allowances : NCL shall not pay any daily allowance (TA/DA) travel expenses or hostel/accommodation facilities during the verification process or during the entire one year training period. Candidates will have to arrange their own accommodation at Singrauli/Sonbhadra. Apprenticeship Contract: Successful applicants will be required to sign a formal Apprenticeship Contract via the NATS/NAPS portals. If the candidate is a minor, the contract must be signed by his parent or legal guardian.
