The Employee State Insurance Corporation (ESIC), a statutory body under the Ministry of Labour and Employment, Govt of India, has officially released the ESIC faculty recruitment 2026 notification. This flagship recruitment drive aims to fill 118 vacancies for the coveted post of Professor jobs on a direct recruitment basis. Selected medical professionals will be posted in various ESIC PGIMSRs and ESIC medical colleges across the country, providing a great opportunity to build a stable career and a leading central government healthcare and academic ecosystem. Age limit: Maximum of 50 years as of the closing date. Age relaxations apply for SC/ST/OBC ex-servicemen and ESIC Departmental employees as per government of India guidelines. Educational qualification and experience: MD/MS/DNB in the concerned speciality or equivalent medical postgraduate degree. - Must meet the teaching, research and publication criteria as mandated by the latest National Medical Commission (NMC) guidelines for the post of Professor (Example, minimum relevant experience as an associate professor with necessary research publications). - For non-medical candidates, (specially in anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, microbiology and pharmacology): Msc with Ph.D. in the medical specialty from a recognised medical college, according to NMC norms.

Category & Caste Certificate Strictness OBC Non-Creamy Layer (NCL): OBC candidates must submit a certificate explicitly matching the Central Government format. The certificate must explicitly state that the candidate does not belong to the Creamy Layer and must be valid for the current financial year. EWS Candidates: Must produce an Income and Asset Certificate issued by a competent authority valid for the year of recruitment.
