Description of DCPU Gopalganj Recruitment 2026

DCPU Gopalganj Recruitment 2026 has been announced by the District Child Protection Unit, Gopalganj, under the Bihar Government's Department of Social Welfare through Advertisement No. 02/2026. Acting on the secretary's letter dated 24 April 2026, DCPU Gopalganj is building a panel of 10 support personas to assist child victims under the POCSO Act, 2012, and POCSO Rules, 2020. Eligible residents of Gopalganj district can send their application, along with all supporting documents, on or before 18 July 2026, 5:00 PM, by Speed Post, Registered Post, or email. A Support Person's role under the POCSO framework is to stand by a child victim through the legal process, helping them understand proceedings, coordinating with the police, medical staff, and the POCSO court, and making sure the child isn't navigating an intimidating system alone. It's engaged work, paid per case rather than by the month, and it draws specifically on candidates who already have some grounding in child rights, counseling, or legal aid.

About DCPU Gopalganj

This is not as isolated a one-off Gopalganj notice. Bihar's Department of Social Welfare has published a statewide rollout of Support Person empanelment through District Child Protection Units this year, with district-level cycles running in parallel. Madhubani notified 35 posts, and Banka notified 20 posts around the same period, all under the same POCSO Rules, 2020 framework and the same Rs. 9,000 per case honorarium structure. Gopalganj's 10 posts sit on the smaller side of that range, which likely tracks the district's POCSO caseload rather than any lesser priority.
