District Child Protection Unit Banka Recruitment 2026 Eligibility Criteria

A. Educational Qualification:

Candidates must fulfill one of the following two educational conditions: Option 1: Post-Graduate (Master's Degree) in Social Work (MSW), Sociology, Psychology, Child Development, or Law. Option 2: Bachelor's Degree in any faculty, along with a Diploma in Child Rights or Counselling, plus a minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience.

B. Work Experience:

Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in any of the following areas: - Child rights, Child protection, legal work, or child psychology / counselling - Social science, sociology, or psychology domains - District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) or Bihar State Legal Services Authority - District Child Protection Unit (DCPU) or Child Welfare Committee (CWC) - Juvenile Justice Board (JJB) or POCSO Special Court - Child Helpline / Childline services Candidates with hands-on experience in POCSO case support, legal aid for children, or psychological first aid will receive priority during selection.

C. Age Limit:

Minimim Age: 30 Years Maximum Age: 65 Years Age Calculation Date: 01 May 2026 The applicable age limit is the same as prescribed for members of the Child Welfare Committee (CWC) in the state of Bihar.

D. Other Essential Conditions:

- The candidates must be Indian citizens. - The candidates must be permanent residents of the Banka district. - The candidates must have a clean criminal record with no case registered anywhere in India. - The candidates must not have been convicted of moral turpitude. A sworn affidavit to this effect is mandatory at the time of application. - The candidates must not have been dismissed or backlisted from any organization working in the field of child protection or child development. - Posts are temporary and POCSO case-based; selected candidates will be empanelled for 2 years.

Selection Process of DCPU Banka Recruitment 2026
