AIIMS Raebareli Senior Resident Recruitment 2026: Notification for 153 Posts

AIIMS Raebareli has released the AIIMS Raebareli Senior Resident Recruitment 2026 notification (Advt. No. AIIMS/RBL/REC/SR/2026/316) for 153 Senior Resident posts across 38 departments, alongside 11 seats in eight Post Doctoral Fellowship (PDF) courses. This AIIMS Recruitment 2026 drive is open to MD/MS/DNB and super-speciality (DM/M.Ch.) candidates. Online applications close 14 July 2026, 5:00 PM, followed by a written exam on 22 July and a departmental assessment on 23 July. There is no separate entrance test for PDF Courses, admission rides on your merit in the Senior Resident exam for the same department. AIIMS Raebareli ran comparable online, exam-based SR recruitment in March 2025 with 160 posts. This cycle's 153 posts sit only slightly lower, about 4%, so the intake has stayed fairly stable department-wise, even though the department-wise split has shifted. One thing worth knowing: AIIMS Raebareli also runs a separate rolling walk-in interview track for Senior Resident throughout the year (103 posts were filled this way in January 2026, 140 in August 2025). That track is interview-only, ad hoc, and tenured for six months at a time, a different system from this written-exam-based Residency Scheme cycle, not a completing count against the 153 figure here.

The written exam alone decides 80% of your outcome, so exam prep matters more than the departmental assessment. There's no single common subject list; each department's MCQ paper tests your specialty at the MD/MS/DNB (or DM/M.Ch for super-specialty) level. - Best resources: the standard postgraduate textbooks for your MD/MS/DNB coursework in that specialty, plus current departmental protocols and guidelines. Generic "government exam" guides won't cover this level. - If you miss this cycle: AIIMS Raebareli's separate Rolling Walk-in-interview track for Senior Residents runs through the year outside this notification, with a shorter six-month ad hoc tenure, interview only, and no written paper. It's a faster but less stable entry point worth watching.

Senior Residents sit at Level 11 of the 7th CPC Pay Matrix, with a minimum basic of Rs. 67,700 a month, plus Non-Practising Allowance (NPA) for medical posts and usual allowances. Add NPA (typically 20% of basic), DA at 60% (calculated on basic plus NPA), and HRA based on Raebareli's city classification, and gross pay for a fresh joinee works out to roughly Rs. 1,30,000 and Rs. 1,40,000 a month. After NPS contribution and income tax, in-hand pay typically lands around Rs. 1,05,000 - Rs. 1,15,000.
