Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology (VNIT), Nagpur, is one of the premier public engineering institutes in India. Established in 1960 and formerly known as Visvesvaraya Regional College of Engineering, it was later upgraded to a National Institute of Technology and recognized as an Institute of National Importance by the Government of India. VNIT offers undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs in engineering, architecture, and applied sciences. Known for its academic excellence, research output, and innovation, the institute is part of the NIT network and operates under the Ministry of Education.
