THSTI

The Translational Health Science and Technology Institute (THSTI) is an autonomous institute under the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India. Established in 2009, THSTI is located in the NCR Biotech Science Cluster in Faridabad, Haryana. The institute aims to integrate multidisciplinary scientific teams from medicine, science, and technology to facilitate translational research that bridges laboratory findings with clinical applications, thereby improving public health outcomes. THSTI hosts several specialized research centers, including the Centre for Maternal and Child Health, Centre for Virus Research, Therapeutics and Vaccines, Centre for Tuberculosis Research, Centre for Microbial Research, Centre for Immunobiology and Immunotherapy, Computational and Mathematical Biology Centre, Centre for Bio-design and Diagnostics, Centre for Drug Discovery, and the Clinical Development Services Agency. These centers focus on areas such as vaccine development, infectious diseases, diagnostics, and drug discovery. THSTI also offers academic programs, including a Master of Science in Clinical Research and Ph.D. programs, contributing to capacity building in the healthcare research sector.
