Munitions India Limited (MIL) is a state-owned defence Public Sector Undertaking (PSU) established on October 1, 2021, as part of the restructuring of the Ordnance Factory Board into seven distinct PSUs. Headquartered in Pune, Maharashtra, MIL specializes in the production of ammunition, explosives, rockets, and bombs for the Indian Armed Forces, foreign militaries, and domestic civilian use. The company operates 12 manufacturing units across India, including facilities in Khadki, Aruvankadu, Tiruchirappalli, Bhandara, Bolangir, Chandrapur, Dehu Road, Itarsi, Khamaria, Nalanda, and Varangaon. MIL's product portfolio includes the Pinaka Multi-Barrel Rocket Launcher, various calibers of artillery shells, hand grenades, and air-to-ground bombs. The company has secured significant export orders, including deals with the United Arab Emirates, Armenia, and Saudi Arabia, contributing to India's growing presence in the global defence market.
