

The Ministry of Tribal Affairs (MoTA) is a central government ministry in India responsible for policy formulation, planning, and administration concerning the welfare and development of the Scheduled Tribes community. It oversees schemes related to education, livelihood, health, infrastructure, and cultural preservation for tribal populations. MoTA administers initiatives such as the Post Matric Scholarship Scheme, Tribal Sub-Plan, Vanbandhu Kalyan Yojana, and supports Tribal Research Institutes and the National Commission for Scheduled Tribes.
