

The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (MoIB) is the nodal ministry of the Government of India responsible for formulating and administering rules, regulations, and laws relating to information, broadcasting, the press, and films in India. It oversees content regulation for television and radio, administers public service broadcasting through Doordarshan and All India Radio, supports the film sector via the Film Division and the National Film Development Corporation, and implements the Press Information Bureau. The ministry also promotes film and media culture, awards, and film festivals.
