

The Ministry of Cooperation is a central government ministry in India, constituted in July 2021. It is responsible for strengthening the cooperative movement, formulating policies and legislation for cooperative societies, and ensuring seamless working of cooperatives across sectors such as agriculture, credit, housing, dairy, and consumer services. The ministry oversees the implementation of initiatives like the National Cooperative Development Corporation (NCDC), promotes capacity-building among cooperative institutions, and ensures their alignment with national economic and social objectives.
