The Government of Jharkhand is the supreme governing authority for the state, formed on November 15, 2000, with its capital in Ranchi. Led by a Governor and Chief Minister (Hemant Soren as of late 2024), it manages 24 districts across 5 divisions. The state is rich in mineral resources, holding over 32% of India's coal, and has a strong focus on tribal welfare.
