The Government of Tamil Nadu is the governing authority of the state of Tamil Nadu, India. It comprises the executive (headed by the Governor and the Chief Minister), the unicameral Legislative Assembly, and the judiciary. The government is responsible for administration, public services, infrastructure development, education, healthcare, agriculture, law and order, and welfare schemes. It functions through various departments and municipalities to implement state-level policies and initiatives for socio-economic growth.
