Selection Process Details for MPSC Group C Recruitment 2026

The selection process for the MPSC Group C Recruitment 2026 consists of the main written examination of 2 papers for 400 marks with negative marking. Only prelim-qualified candidates who applied for the main exam will be considered. Negative Marking: 1/4 (25%) will be deducted for each wrong answer. If more than one answer is selected for one question, then it will be treated as incorrect, and 1/4 marks will be deducted. If final marks fall below the minimum cutoff after deduction, the candidate's marks will not be counted as zero, but instead as negative. Final selection is based on the merit list in the Group C recruitment main exam, category-wise, post-wise, and combined with preference order. Short-listing will be followed by document verification.

Selection Process for MPSC Group C Recruitment 2026

    Stage 1 - Main Written Examination The Main Examination consists of two papers: Paper 1: Marathi - 50 questions for 100 marks, and English - 50 questions for 100 marks. These papers will be of 12th standard level in Marathi and English medium, with objective-type multiple-choice questions for 1 hour. Paper 2: General Studies and Intelligence Test, consisting of 100 questions for 200 marks. Questions will be graduate-level, in Marathi and English, with objective-type multiple-choice questions, and will last 1 hour.

    Stage 2 - Merit List and Preference Order A general merit list for all posts will be prepared based on the marks of the Main Exam and post-wise. All candidates for the Lipik-Tanklekhak are required to resubmit their Appointing authority-wise preference order after the General Merit List is published within the stipulated period through the MPSC online portal. If the preference order is not submitted within the given period, it will be treated as if no preference was submitted. The final recommendation link is prepared based on the submitted preference orders.

    Stage 3 - Document Verification MPSC decides to call the shortlisted candidates for Document Verification. At this stage, the candidate is required to produce original documents along with self-attested photocopies. Documents not presented at the verification stage will not be accepted later, and no extension will be given. Candidates who fail to be present at the Document Verification will be disqualified.

    Stage 4 - Physical / Medical Examination (for Duyyam Nirikshak only) Before being appointed, recommended candidates for the Duyyam Nirikshak, Rajya Utpadan Shulk post, must meet prescribed physical standards and will be medically examined by the Government-appointed authority.
