Academic Qualifications for SBI PO Recruitment 2026

Selection Process for SBI PO Recruitment 2026

1Eligible candidates will have to go through a three-phase process.
2The first phase is Preliminary Examination. It is an objective test for 100 marks, to be conducted online.
3The second phase is the main Examination. It is an objective test for 200 marks and a descriptive test for 30 marks. It will be conducted online, and candidates will have to type their answers for the descriptive test.
4The third phase comprises Psychometric Test, Group Exercise, and Personal Interview. Maximum marks for Group Exercise are 20 and maximum marks for Personal Interview are 30.
5Candidates will have to qualify for Phase 2 and Phase 3 separately. Marks obtained in Phase 1 will not be added to prepare the final merit list of selected candidates.

Descriptive Test will be administered immediately after the conclusion of Objective Test.

Pay Scale for SBI PO Recruitment 2026

Selected candidates will be eligible for a monthly basic pay of ₹48,800/-, plus 4 advance increments in the Junior Management Grade Scale-I pay scale of 48480-2000/7-62480-2340/2-67160-2680/7-85920.
Selected candidates will also be eligible for Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), City Compensatory Allowance (CCA), Provident Fund (PF), National Pension System (NPS), Leave Fare Concession (LFC), medical facilities, lease rental facility, and other allowances as per Bank's policies.
