Technician Jobs in KRCL - Important Dates
The walk-in interview will be conducted over a period of 5 consecutive days in June 2026. Each day is dedicated to specific posts so please ensure you attend only on the date assigned to the post you applied for. 1. Junior Technical Assistant (Mechanical) candidates need to appear on 8th June 2026. 2. Quality Inspector and Technician (Welder) Candidates are scheduled for June 9th, 2026. 3. A minimum of one year of experience in inspection or quality assurance is required. The upper age limit is 50 years as of 1st May 2026.

The minimum educational qualification is an ITI Certificate in welding or a Welder qualification Test Certificate as per ISO-9006-1. One year of post-qualification experience in the mechanical industry is a minimum. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in the repair of railway and manufacturing rolling stock. The maximum age limit is 50 years as of 1 May 2026.
Technical (Fitter) (22 Posts)
Minimum qualification is an ITI certificate from a recognised ITI, Technical Training Institute, or any government-approved authority. Must have one year of post-qualification experience in the mechanical industry. Those with manufacturing or railway experience are preferred. The maximum age limit is 50 years as of 1st May 2026.
Salary and Monthly Remuneration for Technician job.
The consolidated monthly remuneration varies for different posts and for different classes of cities where the candidate is posted, i.e., Class A, Class B, and Class C Cities. Basic pay of a Junior Technical Assistant (Mechanical) and Quality Inspector will be Rs. 18,481, plus DA of Rs. 10,719. Their Consolidated monthly remuneration (Including HRA, conveyance, and Mobile allowance) is Rs. 47,220 for Class A cities, Rs. 44,300 for Class B cities, and Rs. 41,380 for Class C cities. Technician (Welder), Technician (Fitter), Technician (EOT Operator), Driver Lister/Forklift Operator, and Hydra Operator receive a basic pay of Rs. 12,025 plus DA of Rs. 6,975. Consolidated remuneration of Rs. 30,900 for Class A, Rs. 29,000 for Class B, and Rs. 27,100 for Class C cities. Office Boy/Helper/Khalasi receives a basic pay of Rs. 11,392 and DA of Rs. 6,608. The consolidated pay in Class A is Rs. 29,300, Rs. 27,500 in Class B, and Rs. 25,700 in Class C cities. An annual increment of 4% on consolidated remuneration will be applicable at the end of each contract year, subject to the discretion of KRCL and the recruitment of continued employees.
Selection Process in KRCL Recruitment 2026
- 1This recruitment is not by online application or written examination. You are required to attend in person on the scheduled date with your documents and application form, register between 9:00 AM and 12:00 PM, and proceed with the selection process.
- 2Only provisionally eligible candidates are called for further processing after the initial screening of documents.
- 3Depending on the number of applicants, KRCL may conduct a Group Discussion or an elimination round, such as a written test, before the formal interview. A nominated selection committee then interviews those who make it through that stage.
