JIPMER Senior Resident Recruitment 2026 | 89 Vacancies

The Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research, Puducherry has issued its rolling advertisement for the July 2026 session. There are 89 vacancies for the Senior Resident jobs on a regular tenure basis. This recruitment drive is the best opportunity for the medical professionals with MD/MS, DNB or MDS degrees to work in an Institute of national importance. The selected candidates will work for a maximum period of three years in different medical, surgical, and super-speciality departments. The online application period for JIPMER recruitment will be from June 6, 2026, to June 29, 2026. The selection process will include Certificate Verification, Written Test and Personal Interview, after screening of applications, in person at the JIPMER Puducherry Campus on 3rd July and 4th July, 2026.

Candidates who clear the written test cut-off will be called for the personal interview (20% weightage) starting at 2:00 PM on the same day. The panel evaluates candidates on the following parameters. - Clinical and practical competence: Viva on case management and interpretation of diagnostic reports. Example – imaging, lab reports - Research and publications: Questions regarding your MD/MS thesis methodology and any indexed scientific publications. - Teaching aptitude: Assessing your capability to teach and mentor undergraduate MBBS students and junior residents. - Communication skills: Presentation, clinical reasoning and stress management capabilities.
