The Bank of Baroda (BOB) has officially announced its major recruitment drive for 2026, offering a huge opportunity for fresh graduates across India. The top public sector bank in India is looking to recruit 5000 apprentices under the Apprentices act, 1961 to enhance professional development and skill building in the banking industry. This mega drive for apprentice job initiative will include several states and union territories to provide young professionals with required on-the-job training and financial literacy. Interested and eligible candidates are invited to apply online through the bank's official website from May 19, 2026 up to the closing date on June 8, 2026. Under this 12 months training program, selected candidates will be given an opporunity to work with corporate banking operations with a monthly stipend of Rs 15000. The candidate should be a graduate, must be within 20 to 28 years of age and should possess knowledge of the local language for the state which he/she is applying for. The selection process of this BOB apprentice recruitment is an online written test followed by a local language test.

A. General / Financial Awareness This section evaluates your knowledge of daily news, socio-economic developments, and banking structures. - Banking Awareness: Core banking terms, history of banking, types of bank accounts, and RBI functions/monetary policies. - Financial Trends: Digital banking tools, UPI, capital markets, and recent bank mergers. - Current Affairs: National and international news from the last 4 to 6 months. - Government Schemes: Major social and financial inclusion initiatives (e.g., PMJDY, PMSBY, PMJJBY). - Static GK: Headquarters of organizations, national parks, currencies, and awards. B. Quantitative & Reasoning Aptitude This combined section tests calculation speed and logical accuracy. - Quantitative Aptitude: Simplification & Approximation, Number Series (Missing & Wrong numbers), Data Interpretation (Bar graphs, Pie charts, Line graphs, and Tables), Arithmetic Topics: Percentage, Profit & Loss, Simple & Compound Interest, Ratio & Proportion, Averages, Time & Work, and Speed, Time & Distance. - Reasoning Aptitude: Puzzles & Seating Arrangements (Linear, Circular), Syllogism & Inequalities, Coding-Decoding & Blood Relations, Direction Sense & Alphanumeric Series, Order and Ranking C. Computer Knowledge Given the digital environment of modern banking operations, basic IT awareness is tested here. - Computer Fundamentals: History, generations, hardware, software, and input/output devices. - Operating Systems: Basics of Windows and common user interfaces. - MS Office Suite: Keyboard shortcuts and core features of MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint. - Networking & Internet: Basics of LAN/WAN, web browsers, and email protocols. - Cyber Security: Common malware types, basic cybersecurity practices, and safe digital transaction protocols. D. General English This section assesses basic vocabulary, reading comprehension, and standard grammatical understanding. Reading Comprehension (Passage-based questions), Error Detection & Sentence Correction, Cloze Test & Fill in the Blanks, Para Jumbles (Sentence Rearrangement), Synonyms, Antonyms, and Idioms & Phrases, Basic Grammar rules (Tenses, Prepositions, Voice, and Narration) Next Stage: Local Language Test Candidates who clear the online written exam's cut-off will proceed to Document Verification and the Local Language Proficiency Test. If you can provide a 10th or 12th-standard marksheet proving you studied the official local language of your applied state, you will be exempted from this language proficiency test. Marking Scheme: Each correct answer awards 1 mark. Negative Marking: There is NO negative marking for incorrect answers. Medium of Exam: Questions will be available in both English and Hindi (except for the General English section).
